Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, lays the foundation stones for the Indore Metro for Indore Metro-related works on Saturday, involving the construction of 16 stations and an 11-kilometre viaduct, totalling Rs 1,417 crore of worth, according to an official. In his remarks at the event, the CM stated that the metro line will be circular, like a ring, beginning at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport and travelling through various regions of the city.

He said that the metro rail project in this city had come to a halt during the previous Congress government, but that it was now moving on at full speed.

He urged officials to survey to see whether the Indore metro should be extended to the neighbouring holy city of Ujjain as well as the Pithampur Industrial Area.

On September 14, 2019, CM Kamal Nath laid the foundation stone for the first phase of Indore’s metro rail project, which is anticipated to cost Rs 7,500.80 crore.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated on another programme, “I want every city in the state to commemorate its birthday, which can be found with the help of historians. If the date is undetermined, one can be set.”

He stated that cities should be well-decorated for their birthday celebrations, and that famous personalities associated with them should be invited.
